£4000 FOR THE CLUB AND A GREAT EVENING OUT!

Rhythm and Blues at Crest House - Saturday 3rd July 2004

Undoubtedly the social event of the summer, Worplesdon Tennis Club's Rhythm and Blues Evening was held in Peter and Phim Elsing's lovely garden with its fine views over the surrounding countryside.

With music from The Lost Roberts and plenty of delicious picnic food and drink, the evening really went with a swing, while a really good turnout from club members and friends, a super raffle and an individual donation of £1000 provided more than £4000 for club funds - all very well-timed, now that construction of the new courts and clubhouse is getting underway!
