CLUB FINALS DAY

13th July 2008

Yet another sunny Finals Day!

Winners were:

  • Mixed Doubles:   Sarah Hamilton and Ali Kemp
  • Ken Hunt Veterans' Memorial Cup:  Peter Jezeph and Ray Partridge
  • Men's Doubles:  Ollie Guerreri and Ali Kemp
  • Ladies' Doubles:  Sarah Hamilton and Lynn Moore
  • Men's Singles:  Ali Kemp
  • Junior Cup:  Zak Chew.

All very impressive and some superb tennis.   Our congratulations to them and to the runners up, Adam Chew, Lynn Moore and Ollie Guerreri, Pai Holbrow and Marion Dawson, John Brand and Ben Rodriguez, and Adam Chew and Patrick Franklin.

Following an exhibition match by the Juniors, an American Doubles tournament ran in parallel and was won by John Brand. All this was fortified by Pimms and a BBQ and some delicious cakes and desserts!
